Regular Membership: Regular
members are active-duty, retired and prior service commissioned officers of the
uniform services of the United
States. Regular members carry all privileges,
including the right to vote, to serve as an officer of the Club or a member of
the Board of Governors, to have an interest in the property of the Club and to
endorse applications for members. Resident members are those living or working
within a 30-mile radius of the Club.
Non-residents or inactive members may not serve as an officer of the
Club or as a member of the Board of Governors or standing committee.
The entrance fee for regular
-resident applicants 30 years of age and over is $500. For regular resident
applicants under the age of 30, the entrance fee is $250. The initiation fee
for regular non-resident membership 30 years of age and over is $500 and $250
for those under the age of 30.
The
dues of regular resident members are $105 per month or $60.00 per month if
under 30 years of age. There is a $75 quarterly minimum charge on food and
beverages for all resident members, except inactive members, widows and those
in the category of newly commissioned officers. The dues of non-resident
members are $35.00 per month billed quarterly, or $25.00 per month if under the
age of 30, also billed quarterly.
Associate Membership: Associate
members are persons who are closely associated with the military profession,
who are prominent in their profession or community and who are compatible with
Club membership. Associate members carry all privileges except for the right to
vote, to serve as officers of the Club or as members of the Board of Governors,
to have interest in the property of the Club and to endorse applications for
membership. Applications must be accompanied by two letters of recommendation
and a brief biography.
The fee for associate resident
applicants is $1,500. Associate non-resident members pay a fee of $1000.
The
dues of associate resident members are $110 per month. There is a $75 quarterly
minimum charge on food and beverages for all resident members, except inactive
members, widows and those in the category of newly commissioned officers. The
dues of non-resident associate members are $40.00 per month billed quarterly.
Active-Duty Membership: The entrance fee for resident and
Foreign Service commissioned officers serving on active duty is $350 if over
the age of 30 (age only applies to regular members, not foreign service) and
$200 if under the age of 30 (age only applies to regular members, not foreign
service). This has been construed by the Board of Governors to include
active-status Reserve officers and federally recognized National Guard
commissioned officers. “Active status” means officers who are in pay billets
and take part in federally-ordered annual training.
The
dues of military and Foreign Service officers on active duty, in resident
status are $40.00 per month billed quarterly, or $25.00 per month if under the
age of 30, also billed quarterly. There is a $75 quarterly minimum charge on
food and beverages for resident members. The dues of active status Reserve and
National Guard members shall be the same as those of resident and non-resident
members as shown above. When called to active duty for tours of duty in excess
of 90 days, the dues of such members will be the same as for those serving on
active duty. The dues of Foreign Service officers on active duty in a
non-resident status are $35.00 per month billed quarterly.
Newly-Commissioned
Officer Membership: A commissioned officer of one of the
uniformed services, serving on active duty and
not above the rank of first lieutenant or lieutenant junior grade, and who applies for membership
within five years of the date of first commission, is exempt from payment of an entrance fee. Payment
of the first year’s dues must be included with the officer’s application for membership.
The dues of a commissioned officer of one of the uniformed services
while serving on active duty, and who was exempt from the payment of an
entrance fee by virtue of applying for membership within five years of the date
of first commission, are $240 per year billed annually, until five years of the
date of first commission. Payment of the first year’s dues must be included with
the officer’s application for membership. Widow/Widower Membership: The unremarried widow/widower of a commissioned officer of one of the
uniformed services of the United
States who had not held Club membership is
eligible for membership with an entrance fee of $300 and with dues of a
non-resident member ($26.66 per month, billed quarterly).
